The expansion of the broadband network in the municipality of Sigmarszell is proceeding as planned. After numerous households in Niederstaufen and Sigmarszell were connected to the fibre optic network in recent months, work is now beginning in Bösenreutin.
"We are pleased to be able to provide our residents in all three districts with modern internet connections," explains Mayor Jörg Agthe. "Fast internet is no longer a luxury issue, but part of basic services. A stable connection is essential, especially for families with children who work from home or take part in digital lessons."
The groundworks in Bösenreutin are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Initially, the main road and adjacent residential areas will be affected. The municipality asks for understanding regarding possible traffic disruptions during the construction phase. All affected residents will be informed about the exact schedule in good time.
Interested households can already register for a fibre optic connection with the providers involved. Connection costs will be subsidised as part of the initial development, meaning only minimal costs for residents.
With the fibre optic expansion, the municipality of Sigmarszell is investing in future-proof technology. Speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s enable not only fast browsing, but also seamless video streaming, online gaming and working from home. This creates new opportunities for businesses and self-employed people in the municipality.
