Music societies invite to joint spring concert

A special musical event is coming up: The three music societies from Bösenreutin, Niederstaufen and Sigmarszell will perform together for the first time.

Music brings people together. Under this motto, the three music societies of the municipality of Sigmarszell invite you to an exceptional concert evening. On 15th March 2026, the music societies of Bösenreutin, Niederstaufen 1828 and Sigmarszell will perform together at the festively decorated Haus des Gastes.

"The idea for this joint concert came about during a social gathering after putting up the maypole," explains Andi Schmid, chairman of Sigmarszell Music Society. "We realised how enriching the exchange between the three societies is and wanted to share that musically with the public."

The programme promises a varied evening. Each music society will first present its own pieces before all come together for the grand finale. The programme includes traditional marches, modern brass music and well-known film melodies. The audience can particularly look forward to the joint interpretation of the classic "Böhmischer Traum", which will become a special sound experience with over 80 musicians on stage.

For the societies, the joint concert also represents a logistical challenge. "We've scheduled extra rehearsals and had the seating at the Haus des Gastes reconfigured," explains Matthias Gottschalk from Niederstaufen Music Society. "But the effort is worth it. It's a real community project."

Advance ticket sales are already underway. Tickets are available from all three music societies and from Sigmarszell Town Hall. Admission is 12 euros for adults, whilst children and young people up to 16 years of age have free entry.

With the concert, the music societies also want to send a signal for the growing together of the three districts. "We are one municipality," emphasises Max Echter from Bösenreutin Music Society. "We want to demonstrate that with this evening and at the same time celebrate the tradition of brass music in our region."

Refreshments will naturally be provided. Local societies will serve guests with regional specialities and drinks.
